How to Import the Database 

If you backed up a database as an SQL file, you can import it into one of your hosting account's MySQL databases through phpMyAdmin

 

  • Step1: Sign in to phpMyAdmin in cPanel



 

  • In phpMyAdmin, on the left menu, select the name of the database where you want to use.

 

Note:  If you want to upload it in the new database, Then first you will need to create the database using this article: https://webspacekit.com/client/knowledgebase/46/How-to-Create-and-Maintain-MySQL-Databases-in-cPanel.html

 

  • On the top menu, select Import.
  • Click on Choose file

 

 

  • select the file you want to import and then select Open.

 

  • At the bottom of the page, select Go.

It may take several minutes for the import to complete and update the database as specified in your SQL file.
