Step 1: Login to your cPanel account and open the file manager.
Step 2: Move on to the respective directory. ( Usually the website files will be under public_html)
Step 3: Right click on the folder that you want to take the backup.
Step 4: In the drop down list, click on compress
Step 5: Select the compression type as Zip
Step 6: Click on Compress files, and it will start to compress the folder to zip file. ( It will take some time for the wp-content.zip file to be generated depending upon the size of the folder that you are compressing )
Step 7: Once the file is compressed, Right click on the generated zip file, and click on download . And the backup of the website in the zip file will be downloaded to the local system.
