How to get EPP code of the domain and important things need to do while transferring domain
Step 1: Login to your WebSpaceKit dashboard
Step 2: Click ‘Domain’ in your WebSpaceKit dashboard
Step 3: Here select your domain, for which you want to get your EPP code
It will take you to this domain managing panel
Step 4: Click ‘Get EPP Code’
(NOTE: once you select your domain, the EPP code will be sent to your registered email ID)

Once you select your domain,
Step 5: EPP code will be sent to your registered email ID
(You can open your mail and get the EPP code)
But before starting on how to transfer your domain, there are a couple of guidelines that need to be followed:
The Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy by The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) states that for a domain to be eligible for transfer.
- The domain should be at least 60 days old.
- The domain should not have been transferred among registrars in the last 60 days.
These are standard guidelines that apply to all registrars and you need to make sure that these guidelines are followed before beginning the domain transfer.
The Domain Transfer process is usually done in three phases:
- Preparation
The preparation phase happens in your old registrar and this is where you get the domain ready for the transfer. This includes:
- Disabling Domain Privacy
Most registrars offer domain privacy during sign-up, and it protects your personal information by hiding it on the WHOIS database. So, if enabled, you need to disable or pause the domain privacy for the transfer to happen.
By disabling the domain privacy, the gaining registrar will be able to contact you regarding the domain transfer.
- Unlocking the Domain
Also, most domain registrars by default lock your domain after purchase. This means that your domain is protected from any unauthorized domain transfer attempts.
For a domain transfer, you need to manually unlock your domain and the process is relatively easy.
- Obtaining Authorization/EPP Code
After disabling domain privacy and unlocking your domain name, your domain is ready for transfer. All you need is the Authorization/EPP Code to complete the transfer.
An Authorization Code is a unique passcode made of letters, numbers, and special characters that you will provide to WSK to authorize the domain transfer.
- Initiation
The initiation phase is where the transferring process officially gets started in the Web Space Kit. This includes:
- Entering Domain name
- Entering the obtained EPP Code
- Completing the purchase
- Completion
The completion phase includes approving the transfer in your old registrar and thus completing the process.

- Waiting for Transfer Completion
